Made In The USA

A good pair of jeans is always a must to any girl's (even boy's) closet. It's a necessity. But just because jeans are slipshod, it doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice fashion. Comfort plus fashion, win-win right?

You won't actually see anything USA-ish in this post except the new music video of one of my favorite singers, Demi Lovato. Lol. However, I'm still trying to associate the blog post title with my outfit because I practically wore the colors of the USA flag which are white, blue, and.. well, pink. I know, I know! Let's just pretend that pink is the new red, can we? Lol. Really sorry about that. At least, they kind of belong to the same color family. ;) Anyhoo, this outfit is quite casual. I just love wearing a pair of jeans pretty much all the time. Oh, the comfort it brings. So you'll probably see me post more casual outfit shots soon. Haha.

Don't you just love these accessories?! Too adorbs!!! I personally adore this ring from Ethereal Shopp. It's very pretty! I believe I've never seen anything like this before. It's handmade by the owner herself! Not only that, every ring they make is unique, thus, comes in one stock per design so you don't have to worry if you see someone wearing the same ring! Also love the splash of colors and gold deets, that's why it's the perfect match to my watch! Mustaches are somewhat a trend nowadays. And I know you mustache fans wouldn't get your hands off of this watch from Pink Chix! This is the cutest watch ever! I fancy how it adds flair to my outfit. They sell a lot of watches like this so you guys better check their shop out!

Outfit details:
Cotton On sheer top | Human Genes jeans | Furla bag | Ethereal Shopp ring | Pink Chix mustache watch

So this is the music video I'm talking about. I've watched this a couple of times since it was officially released. I super love it! Love the flow of the story, kind of a short film. Can't get enough of Dustin Milligan and Aimee Teegarden! Dustin is one of my ultimate crushes. Soooooo handsome. And Aimee lost a lot of weight! She's prettier than ever! Love her! And of course, Demi Lovato is such a stunner. With a beautiful face and good vocals like hers, you can never ask for more.

Pink Friday Concert Tour

Have you ever experienced turning your ordinary-and-grudging-because-you-couldn’t-watch-your-fave-artist’s-concert day into a wow-best-surprise-of-all-surprises day? You get what I mean. Haha. Or not?

Anyway, so last July 11, my friend Mariell and I watched the most anticipating concert of the year yet... NICKI MINAJ’S PINK FRIDAY TOUR!!! Our friends know how much we love Nicki Minaj and we’re really dying to see her perform live! You know, we’re the type of fans who would memorize the lyrics of her songs… even though it means tangling our tongues to death.

Watching her concert was totally in the nick of time. We got the tickets an hour before! Thanks to my dearest friend Elmer. He really is the best guy friend ever. Definitely one of my fave persons in the world. :)

So I reached the Mall Of Asia Arena at around 8:30pm already, I think. We separated our ways first because Mariell had to drop by a gift for the debut party that she was supposed to attend that night. Glad she made it on time! We saw her friend Cye at the concert unexpectedly!

The arena was so chock-full! And star-studded too!

When we heard the holler of the crowd, we entered the arena already! The atmosphere was so electrifying! I can’t remember the first song though because we struggled quite much finding our seats. Haha! But when we found our happy place... fangirling began! We’re standing and didn’t even manage to use our seats the whole time! We screamed our lungs out to every song! That’s how much we love Barbz!!!

Let the photos speak for themselves! Enjoy! :)

What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger (A Book Review)

People, especially teenagers, often submit themselves to certain tough situations that presumably made them feel like the world has just crashed upon them. It can be an academic problem, family feud, frenemy dilemma, or the worst of all – heartache.

Marla Miniano amazingly took an innovative approach to this book called Every Girl’s Guide to Heartache. It follows the story of a teenage girl named Anna, who wretchedly deals with her broken heart… and mainly everything that goes with it. After breaking up with Jaime, Anna finds herself in deep chaos. She feels like an extremely shattered crap that didn’t even get a valid reason for being dumped, thus, ended up getting the overrated “It’s not you, it’s me” break-up line. However, after realizing that her relationship with Jaime is totally over, she starts turning to the people who, assuredly, won’t make her feel what The Ex made her feel – her family and friends. Anna has a happy-go-lucky family and a good set of bff’s – Rickie, Chrissy, and her best guy friend, Miguel, who is indeed an angel sent from above when things got worse. Miguel is the usual dream-guy-who-happens-to-be-the-bestfriend kind of guy. But, Anna is quite sure to herself that she would never ever think of him in that way… or at least that’s what she thought until things started to twist and turn. She’s now caught up in profound confusion.

How close is too far? Join Anna as she heals her broken-heart, revamps her life, and fall in love once again. Every Girl’s Guide to Heartache is a light yet entertaining read that is truly a keeper. Follow every rule and surely, you’ll be perfectly fine.

Let go of the things that make you sad. Make a room for happiness. Love life and show the world your stronger version.

Meet LA Aguinaldo

I know I have so many backlogs but I just had an instant feeling of blogging this right now. So… pardonne moi. Haha. It's already 4am that's why I'll just make a quick and succinct post. Bear with me. ;)

Many of us (or all of us, perhaps) have already watched the latest tvc of Nescafe –where the guy was about to kiss the girl but didn’t actually do it, hence, opted to describe it in details instead. I have to admit it is indeed a market leader. It was so wittily made. I mean, who wouldn’t fall for that?

However, when I first saw it, the first thing that caught my attention wasn’t the tvc itself— it’s the familiar face of LA Aguinaldo.

I saw him at the Candy Style Awards 2012 (happened a month ago but will blog it this week, I KNOW) as one of the Candy Cuties. He was actually the friskiest among them. He never seemed tired— or maybe he was but he’s pretty good at making it imperceptible. And honestly, among all of those Candy Cuties I had a picture with, he’s the only one whom I had down pat. Legit. Plus, he’s so approachable; be it in person or online. I believe, in next to no time, he will hit the big time in the biz.

So watch out ladies! This enthralling green archer will surely render you in awe when you meet him by chance! He is, indeed, an epitome of good looks with striking personality. :)

WATCH HIS TVC HERE! :)

Call US, maybe? ;)

Go on and try to bring me down, but I will be rising from the ground.

When Maddi Jane announced that she’s going to release a cover of Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper”, I got totally excited. I really love watching her YouTube covers, and I’m pretty sure anyone who knows her feels the same way. I can’t believe that I’m watching this cover of hers just now. SMH.

This song is kind of special to me, in a way that, it’s one of the songs which accompanied me when I hit rock bottom. Songs from Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Boyz II Men, Nsync, and Justin Timberlake all in one playlist – yep, my iTunes can attest to that. That playlist still exists, by the way. The songs I sorted in that list are just too poignant and pleasant to the ears to be removed. I got to admit, though, that I can’t help but get a bit emotional until now when I listen to these songs. There are times in which I would like to feel alone, listen to songs like these, and summon up the shortcomings that I’ve been through. It’s somewhat inspiring because as I recapture those, I also conjure up how I’ve surmount all of them.

Anyway, so this cover of “Skyscraper” completely rendered me in awe. Maddi Jane is just so pretty; she’s like an angel singing her heart out. I feel so dumbfounded, like I’m being hypnotized. I don’t know if it’s just me or she’s just way too good especially for her age. Her version is exceptional that I had to rape the replay button. Without a doubt, she depicts a full-package artist who can surely make it even bigger in the future.

Let The Catching Fire Blaze!

Find out the five reasons to be stoked for The Huger Games sequel, Catching Fire!

The Hunger Games is the first novel in The Hunger Games trilogy of Suzanne Collins, which blew the whole planet by storm, most especially on its movie release. If you were astounded during the first movie, you better brace yourselves for its second installment, Catching Fire.
However, there are certain rumors about The Hunger Games director Garry Ross, opting not to direct the sequel which upsets everyone for this shake-up. "Despite recent speculation in the media, and after difficult but sincere consideration, I have decided not to direct Catching Fire," Ross confirmed. "As a writer and a director, I simply don't have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule," he added.
In spite of this director drama, I have some good news for you Candy Ggirls so, cheer up! Not just because Jennifer Lawrence will come back as Katniss Everdeen, but also because there are other reasons to celebrate and feel the glare of the sequel! MTV has given us five reasons to be exhilarated for Catching Fire! Click the link below.

"Be careful king of kings. First, you need the victory."--ACHILLES (from my Multiply site o7.o5.o8)

Priam: [kneels, kisses Achilles' hands]
Achilles: Who are you?
Priam: I have endured what no one on earth has endured before.
Priam: I kissed the hands of the man who killed my son.
Achilles: [realizes, stands abrubtly] Priam?
Achilles: How did you get in here?
Priam: I know my country better than the Greeks, I think.
Achilles: [walks forward, lifts Priam] You are a brave man.
Achilles: I could have your head on a spit in the blink of an eye.
Priam: Do you really think death frightens me now?
Priam: I watched my eldest son die, watched you drag his body behind your chariot.
Priam: Give him back to me.
Priam: He deserves a proper burial, you know that.
Priam: Give him to me.
Achilles: He killed my cousin.
Priam: He thought it was you.
Priam: How many cousins have you killed?
Priam: How many sons and fathers and brothers and husbands?
Priam: How many, brave Achilles?

--I was browsing the internet about the movie,"Troy", and looked for a site where I could download it. I have watched this film before. That was wayback 2004. But I want to reminisce the notable scenes that cuffed me most. I also need the weighty information for my English class' topic about the Greek Mythology, on the first place. While perusing the site, I saw that axiom above and thought of posting it. That conversation between Priam and Achilles was a fascinating perception, and it strucked me.

I love reading books and articles about the Greek Mythology since I was a tot. Aphrodite was my favorite goddess that time,as what I've remembered. That's why my exhilaration intensified to its severity when I've learned that,World Literature will be tackled up in 4th year, and Greek Mythology is a part of it.

Every topic that we have discussed was significant and very enthralling. My adored topic as of today,is the Trojan War. Brutal, indeed, but it was an unfaltering legend. Imagine, they hounded a war because of a woman. Many lives were dissipated. 'Twas such a rancid fatality for them.
As what Nestor has said to Agamemnon,"This will be the greatest war the world has ever seen."
Yes,this was. Indeed.
