Colors Follow The Change Of Emotions

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of distressing and heartbreaking events concerning my personal life. I had been dealing with a loss before my midterm exam week came to pass. To say I had the longest and craziest (and I meant that in the worst possible way) two weeks of my life to date would be an utter understatement. My subconscious mind haven't been really that functional, too. But then again, as cliché as it sounds, there's always a rainbow after the rain. In situations like this, you only have two options: either drown yourself in deep sadness and refuse to move forward, or look on the brighter side of life and keep going. The moment I threw on this look, I knew I chose the latter. What I like more is that, even though this is such a lazy outfit at its best, it still screams for happiness -- and what is happiness? It is a habit of looking in the brighter side of everything.

P.S. Because I haven't posted in a while, expect more blog posts in the coming days. Xo

Sweater Weather

It's been really chilly here in the Philippines lately (especially at night) and nope, I ain't complaining. Are you kidding me? This weather is just extremely wonderful! This is a tropical country so we don't get a fair share of coldness, that's why this is such a big deal to us -- or to me, at least. Lol. Wait, someone didn't take away summer and curse us an eternal winter, right?! (Very "Frozen" lang?! lol) Okay, that's soooo over the top. Who am I joking, we don't have winter here and heck it's not snowing. Haha. But hey, the weather right now is a perfect excuse to wear cardigans, sweaters, and beanies without getting skeptical stares and second looks from anyone. I'm totally a sweater/cardigan kind of girl and a sucker for the cutest and comfiest ones, at that. It's pretty much obvious that when I saw this sweater from New Frog, I instantly knew right then and there that I needed to have it. Can you see how striking the print is? It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Completely eye-catching! It's now my most favorite sweater and I've been wearing it nonstop since I got it! (Don't worry, I always have it laundered haha) The dazzling necklace I'm wearing was also from New Frog. I just love all the items on their website! It's literally your one-stop shop for everything you need -- from gadgets to car accessories to home and office equipments to apparels and accessories to beauty and health products.. and even toys! HOW. COOL. IS. THAT. Did I mention that the prices are very affordable, too? You can already buy something for $5 and below! If you can't tell by now how amazing they are, there's gotta be something wrong with you!

Aaaahhh I could get used to this cold weather!

Starting 2014 With A Knit Slate

Happy New Year, everyone! :) Here's my first outfit post for this year, and it's my first time to channel a preppy outfit cocooned in thick layers of clothing. You see, this is the thickest and closest I'll ever gussy up for that wintry vibe since we don't really have winter here in the Philippines. It's possible to sport this look here during Ber-month nights when the puff of air is quite cold, but I wouldn't dare to wear this outfit on an extremely sunny day, that is if I don't want to feel like being roasted alive. I would be in so much jeopardy if that happens. Lol. Basically, this is my attempt to give you guys an idea on how to doll up using knitted sweater (a really fluffy one at that) and jeggings for a cold season, while I envy the rest of the world for having winter and being able to put on fur and leather without shedding even a slightest bit of sweat! This is the time when teleportation would have come in handy! Nevertheless, it's entirely wrong to kick off the new year green with envy so I'm just imagining how happy you guys are under the snow with those beautiful smiles on your face, hence it seems like I'm also there. :) Again, happy new year! I hope you guys would stay with me! Let's make 2014 our year! *insert fireworks here*

Christmas Hangover

What took off in such a haste and just left me hanging? Yes folks, you got it right-- Christmas. (And for you guys who thought it's something/one else, you have a malicious mind! Haha just kidding!) How was it? How did you celebrate it? I bet some of you are on Christmas hangover just like me. Sigh. In fact, I am munching on our Christmas leftovers as we speak. Haha! (Please don't judge me! Please? Please? Pretty please?) You would understand me if your mom is a good cook as well, that you'd eat everything she prepares on the table even if that means eating them over and over again! Makes sense, right? Fine, maybe I really am just a fatty mcfatterson lol! Hey, this is the season to be jolly, and eating makes me jolly so there goes my excuse! (Shame on me, I know haha) Anyway, let's cut to the chase, shall we? These photos were taken a few days ago but this is the exact dress I wore on Christmas day. At first, I wanted to wear something green or red to keep the Christmas festivity vibe going on, but I didn't want to be accused of wearing Christmas fatigues so I went with this plain nude dress. I chose to cinched my waist with this brown belt to add a pop of color. Since I'm keeping my look all neutral, I just sticked to nude and brown hues because they belong to the same color family and these two are good for color blocking. With a simple outfit like this, sometimes you just have to let your shoes do the talking. These heels highly complemented my look. Did I mention how nice they are? The gold embellishment definitely added refinement to the whole get up. I wanted to carry on the subtlety of this look so I settled on minimal accessories. What do you think?

What A Girl Wants

Since the weather here in the Philippines is quite bipolar, I'm always having a difficult time what to actually wear. It's supposed to be entirely rainy by this time but we're still having our fair share of Mr. Sun right now. It was sunny on the day these photos were taken. Well, at least until 3 in the afternoon. It was humid to some extent so I went for this look thinking that it's the perfect time to wear this number because I never had a chance to dress up during the summer. To my dismay, the rain started pouring and the whole summery vibe blew away. There's no stopping me in taking outfit shots regardless of the rain, though. Lol. Also, I know that summer season in some countries are either ending or starting already so let this serve as a little summer outfit inspiration for you guys - who wanna make the most out of the remaining days of their summer or those who want to start if off with a kick. Hehe.

If you were to ask me what's the perfect summer statement, it'd be the flower/floral crown. These babies have made their way into the world of trends. Before, you can just put them on for photo shoot purposes, but now you can show them off pretty much everyday depending on the style and size of your flower crown. I envy those places though where you can freely sport these and not get serious looks from people. Lol. Anyway, this crown I'm wearing was sent to me by Flors Boniques. I find it soooooo cute! And it's not overpowering, just perfect for an afternoon stroll!

Photobomber alert! Lol!

I really think this light pink top from Grab 'n Brag It (follow them and check their shop for more beautiful finds!) and necklace from Laureen Uy are meant for each other for some reasons I can't even explain. It's just that... light pink + neon pink = a super good combo, for me. Very girly and eye-catchy. Also, I know that these are the pieces Barbie would wear. Lol. I know I'm biased because pink is my fave color, you can tell by the items I had on (pink necklace, pink top, pink shoes, pink pouch lol). Anyway, I'm wearing my denim vest from Paris Blues. I have a smaller vest from Paris Blues as well which my aunt from the USA sent me. When it comes to denims, Paris Blues got you covered. They have tons of denim jackets, vests, pants, etc. I'm in love. Check out their Fall 2013 collection and see for yourself!

Love this watch sent for me by Pink Chix and this pouch from Katdg Shop! Perfect for my outfit! I like using this pouch because I hate taking big bags with me during long walks! Life saver!
